Glossy grits melt into a brilliant transparent 3D surface
Sugar uses glossy grits, both hard and soft, that melt and form a brilliant transparent 3D structure. This can be left as is or taken to lapato polishing, resulting in a tile that feels smooth to the touch while reflecting just enough light to keep spaces bright and lively.
High-resistance matte surfaces with low light reflection
GHR is a range of advanced technology grits for flooring, developed from carefully selected raw materials and dedicated glass-ceramic furnaces. With a calibrated particle-size distribution, it creates natural matte surfaces with low light reflection, while still allowing a broad range of effects.
Microgrit systems for slip-focused, low-gloss surfaces
R10 / R11 microgrit systems are developed for low-gloss, low-reflection surfaces with a focus on slip resistance. The final gloss, touch, abrasion resistance and slip classification depend on the complete tile system and firing conditions. Confirm the required slip classification through testing of the finished tile.
Ultra-fine grit surfaces with smooth matte, low-gloss transparency
POSH uses ultra-fine grits to produce a smooth matte surface with low gloss and high transparency. It supports strong colour development in digital application, while maintaining superior flatness and almost no surface feel to the touch.
Large-grit dry application for precise decorative 3D surfaces
Dry granilla uses large-sized grits, available in both matte and glossy versions, with no fines in the mix. These grits are applied through a dry applicator onto glue that is laid down by a digital machine, and the excess granilla is then recovered by suction. The result is a precise, decorative 3D pattern on the tile surface.
